We loved the house, everything was very clean, no detail was missed. The views from the rooms were spectacular. Les and Audrey were very friendly.

When we arrived, the fireplace had a roaring fire and the heaters in the rooms were on, very warm. The details were great from the coffee capsules to the toy ducks for the children to play with in the bath.

We will return for sure.

We have just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay with Les and Audrey.

Quiet and secluded with the most stunning views in all directions, Paraíso Rural is a truly beautiful piece of paradise. The accommodation (we stayed in Alcazaba) is tastefully and sympathetically decorated to a high standard, is spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable with all the necessities (and a few luxuries) - including free, reliable WIFI - provided.

We spent a lot of time swimming in and relaxing by the large pool, with all of us at some point, enjoying a siesta on the Moroccan Day Bed.

The village of Órgiva is a short walk up the hill and has a number of restaurants and shops to visit.

Paraíso Rural would make a perfect base to visit the wider area but to be honest we were happy just to sit in the sun, relax in the pool and enjoy the views.

We will definitely be back and we cannot recommend Paraíso Rural highly enough. Thank you Les and Audrey for a wonderful 5 days!

An absolute retreat! Hidden little treasure! Stunning surroundings and stylish accommodation. The attention to detail is stand out! Perfect for us (a couple) to switch off and relax but there is so much on hand for even a young family. The pool is safe, there is a stocked games room with football table and darts and outdoor table tennis.

The villas, garden and pool are all beautiful and there was so much more to the accommodation than we expected and so much space!

Amazing views of the mountains to the south and the place looks even better than the photos. Les and Audrey were kind and extremely helpful, always providing things we needed and even recommending a fun night out in Orgiva town.

The facilities are also excellent from the games room, outdoor table tennis table, to bbq equipment outside of one of the villas. Me and my friends rented all three villas for my 30th birthday and I couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Very good value too when split across a large group.

What were you unhappy with? Nothing, was pleased with every aspect.

The Mulhacen house, in which we have been, is very spacious, clean and has everything you need to spend a few days on vacation, including a large and beautiful terrace. Beautiful gardens, lots of flowers, trees and palm trees next to the pool, it really does seem like a paradise. The pond with turtles and fish has enchanted my children, as well as the ping pong and badminton area and the deck chair among the trees. They welcomed us with everything we needed for a breakfast: bread, butter, eggs, milk, juice and even a chocolate bar! Fantastic reception from very friendly owners who make you feel comfortable. Without a doubt, we will repeat.

Les and Audrey were exceptional hosts, and made us feel at home straight away.

The accommodation (Veleta) was super comfortable, with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and a lovely view of the mountains from the roof terrace. The Jotul woodburner was a joy to behold and was a great centrepiece in the living room (we visited in winter and love being warm).

It's an easy walk to town if you choose to, and we were able to catch up with many old friends in the area.

Audrey's curry was sublime. We are happy to have gone for the option of a meal at Paraíso Rural during our stay. Not to mention the Pavlova!

Next time, we will see if we can bring some friends as the accommodation with its separate houses would be perfect for bringing groups of people together.

The local produce is delicious, and we were able to enjoy this with Les and Audrey's own cold pressed olive oil, grown on the property itself. Delicious!

Home cooked food a treat. We had paella, very fresh and tasty even my teenage son ate every bit!

Great experience, great company and coach

Review of Pegasus Riding Centre

We stayed at Les and Audrey's property which Becky arranged for us and did the tapas ride on the first day and the 4 hour ride the following day. I wanted to take my daughter on a trekking holiday but she is not so confident and I'm not fit enough but this was a great way to do it. Becky tailored the rides to suit us. Really enjoyed both. Becky is lovely, the horses well behaved, the area and the accommodation were fantastic. We hope to return very soon.

Paraíso Rural is absolutely stunning, set in a lush valley in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, just 2 kilometres from Órgiva and run by the most hospitable and friendly couple you could ever wish to meet.

Les and Audrey make you feel like you have been lifelong friends and nothing is too much trouble.

If you want a tranquil and relaxing holiday in real Spain, but only 30 minutes from the beaches of Costa Tropical, then look no further...you won’t be disappointed!

We will certainly be going back in the Spring.

They are the friendliest hosts you can imagine, always there when you need them and you get all the privacy you want if you wish so.

Stunning location and it lives up to it's name, a real rural paradise !

We stayed with Les and Audrey in May 2019 and received a fabulous warm welcome. They could not have been more helpful.

The accommodation was first class and waking up to the sounds of birds and magnificent view of the Sierra Nevada mountains made it all the more special. We enjoyed the leisurely walks into Orgivia sampling the local restaurants and chilling by the fabulous pool in the stunning Rural Paradise garden.

We will definitely be returning! Having already booked next year.

What a lovely place to stay!

For a week we stayed at Rural Paradise (March 2019) together with our kids (aged 9 months and 2.5 years). We've really enjoyed staying at this little paradise in Órgiva!

After a warm welcome Les and Audrey gave us a tour over the property. A huge garden, surrounded by beautiful palm trees is open for all the guests staying at Rural Paradise. Les and Audrey are very thoughtful and that is what makes them really special hosts. They provided a well stocked welcome basket with things like water, coffee, juice, milk, fruit, cookies, beer and wine! You can easily settle down before heading to the supermarket in Órgiva!

They also took care of some toys for our kids to play with. Especially our eldest enjoyed the time the fullest at Rural Paradise. She was outside all the time, riding her bike, climbing on the stones and looking for the turtles in the pond.

The location is perfect if you would like to combine a Spanish beach/mountain/city vacation. You can easily drive to the Granada beaches, to the cities of Granada and Málaga and to the Sierra Nevada Natural Park.

One evening Les and Audrey prepared a 3 course meal for us, it was very tasteful and offered for a fair price (including a glass of cava and a bottle of wine)!

We consider that we will go back some day with family or friends. Because of the layout of Rural Paradise you're able to spend time together, but with the huge garden and the separated houses you can easily enjoy your 'own space'.

We can highly recommend staying at Rural Paradise!

Amazing location, amazing hosting! Les & Audrey are so lovely, honestly the best hospitality I've ever experienced (and I have traveled and rented a lot of places, all over the world!). They even provide the basics when you arrive, bread, milk, coffee, butter and jam, nice spring water they get from Lanjarón.

I stayed in Lújar, a beautiful apartment with a stunning view from (2 !) balconies, perfect place with everything you need, nice bathroom, kitchen (with all equipment you need), nice bed and spacious living room.

And when I needed something Les or Audrey would get or arrange it for you. And not to forget the olive oil form their own garden! The garden is stunning, just look at the pictures (I've made) or on their website. Very calm too because it's the last house on the road going down from Orgiva town and 5 minutes walk from the river. You can make great walks along the river!

So, yes definitely a place to get back to, as a matter of fact, just booked another trip to Orgiva and definitely staying in one of the apartments of Rural-Paradise !!!

2023

Starting 2023 Paraíso Rural was once again closed for the winter. We reopened on 1 March. During the year we renewed friendships with guests who had stayed with us before and began new friendships with people visiting from across Europe.

We liked the hosts and everything about Paraíso Rural!

We will return for sure.

Paraíso Rural closed for maintenance and improvements over the winter. We delayed reopening to 1 April to allow for a major clean up following the calima, red Saharan dust dumped with the rain covering everything in red mud!
